Superbugs vs Hand Sanitisers
Deadly superbugs are evolving to beat alcohol hand sanitisers writes Alice Klein in the New Scientist.
The article states that Superbugs have found a way to alter their genes to make it harder to kill them with alcohol-based hand sanitisers.
The findings don’t necessarily show that alcohol-based hand rubs don’t work, but that healthcare workers may not be using them properly.
A very interesting read, giving a glimse into what can happen with "inappropriate" or simply incorrect use of a therapeutic good.
